Gear that cares and a cap I’ve come to love. 🧢🌿
I’ve used the Gear That Cares trail cap in my last four races Bangalore Ultra 50kms , Goa Ultra 60kms , Ladakh Marathon 42kms and Wipro Bangalore Marathon 42kms and it has now become my go to race cap.
I loved the combination of style, comfort and sustainability. Milaap is a wonderful person and a friend, and seeing so many friends and elite runners use his products made me want to try one myself.
Safe to say, I liked it enough to wear it in every race since I bought it! ❤️

I’ve used this cap through long runs, tough Hyrox sessions, and outdoor training in the heat, and it’s been amazing. It’s so lightweight that I barely notice it on my head, even during intense workouts. The fit, comfort, and design are excellent, and it does a great job keeping the sun off my face during long hours outside. Definitely one of my favourite pieces of running gear.

This is the most comfortable cap I have worn. Used this for my Comrades marathon 2026...it kept me cool

When I wore during 100km at Burj trail run recently one week ago on Jan 2026, I found it so comfort, during trails , sweat obsorbable, durable I must say really really perfect? Easy to wash, i recommend others as well and in coming days I wish to wear with pride.Thank you recreations for manufacturing and taking up with this initiative on comfort ..I wish others to try once, and specially I promote trails runners to wear and see how comfortable and good it seems..

Tried TheRec running cap at the BMF Trail 2026 venue and it was an instant yes. Light, comfortable and stylish wore it for my 21K and loved it. Finally, a running cap with good colour options in India. Would definitely recommend!

Cool style and very light

I absolutely love the feel of the fabric, it’s incredibly comfortable to wear. The adjustable back straps are a great touch, making it easy to get the perfect fit. Unlike many other caps, this one is simple, lightweight, and effortlessly stylish. I also really like the colour options you’ve chosen!

The design is beautiful, the colours have a lovely earthy feel, and it’s genuinely comfortable to wear while running. I especially like how it feels light and easy on the head, even when I’m out enjoying my morning miles.

Cap feedback update:

I’ve been using this cap for my half marathon runs and indoor workouts . It feels very comfortable, lightweight, and breathable. I don’t really feel it while wearing it, even during longer sessions.

Overall, it has been working really well for both running and indoor workouts .

The cap is as advertised……amazing. I liked the personal touch that founder called and cleared my doubts, as i am very finicky(or choosy😬) about details and i liked the little details of this cap-like the adjustment strap being slightly elastic. Will be ordering more for sure. Keep up the good work.
Ps: Only one small suggestion, if you can make these caps in different sizes, i would prefer mine to be slightly smaller.

The cap is exceptionally light and comfortable to wear. I’m especially grateful for the smooth delivery support: I ordered online and still received my parcel right at the Expo for the Satara Hill Marathon.

I wore The Seven cap through two very different seasons: Mumbai’s monsoon chaos and a full Kang Yatse 2 expedition. It looked amazingly good and, more importantly, stayed sweat‑free the whole time.

Mumbai monsoon runs: rain, humidity, no sogginess.
In Mumbai’s monsoon, most caps either soak through or turn into a sweat trap. The Seven didn’t :
- Light rain and drizzle just beaded off the water‑repellent finish; the cap never felt heavy or waterlogged.
- After getting caught in sudden downpours on trail runs, it dried fast once I was under cover.
- Even on 10–12 km humid runs, the inner band didn’t get that sticky, salt‑crusted feel. Sweat moved away from the forehead instead of pooling, so it never felt soggy or irritating.

Kang Yatse 2 expedition: altitude, sun, long days
On the Kang Yatse 2 climb (up to ~6,250 m), the cap saw long approach days, hard sun, and big temperature swings.
- UPF 50+ protection mattered on exposed sections in Ladakh, where the sun is brutal and snow reflects extra UV.
- Through 8–10 hour days with a heavy pack, the crown stayed breathable. Yes, I sweated (it’s a 6k peak), but the fabric wicked it away instead of holding it against the skin—no dripping, no clammy, soaked‑through feel.
- The 7‑panel build kept its shape even after being stuffed into a pack, tossed around at camps, and worn under headlamps and buff layers.

Why it feels “sweat‑free” on long efforts. Nothing fancy, just the right combo:
- Recycled nylon shell with a water‑repellent, fast‑dry finish moves moisture off the skin and dries quickly.
- The internal sweatband and breathable construction stop that thick, wet layer most caps develop on long efforts.
- Secure but not tight fit, so it doesn’t press sweat back onto your forehead or slide and rub.

One cap for Mumbai monsoon miles, high‑altitude expedition days, and still looking sharp in photos and on the street—that’s exactly what The Seven delivered. (P.S. - My dog bit the rim of the cap, but I'm definitely buying another one ;)

One star goes towards a shorter adjustment strap. There isnt enough to tuck into the sleeve/hat body.
Another goes towards the fact that you did not mention the country of origin on the page. I am not surpirsed its made in China but i expect for a brand to be transparent about it

Really impressed with the cap from TheRecreations! The quality is fabulous, and the material is very lightweight and comfortable to wear. I especially loved the decent, elegant color—it looks stylish without being too flashy.
